Kanza. Freed's scenic energy and vocal prowess have been compared to the likes of Michael
Jackson and West African griots, showcasing a unique blend of African pop with a classicallytrained sensibility.
His songs carry strong messages of peace, love, unity, and justice, and are imbued with emotions ranging from hope to aspiration. Freed has been recognised as a winner of the MusicInAfricaLive2022, one of the FinalistsofNigerianChallenge #sixtypercentofus and was nominated as one of the Top 100 most influential personalities in South Kivu in 2022. He is
also the director of the regional project JUA - WORLD MUSIC MEETING and is part of East African Records Collective.
